With more than three million people, Madrid is a cosmopolitan city that receives each year visitors from all around the world, attracted by its culture, architecture, and gastronomy. When the conurbaton area is considered, more than six milion inhabitants are involved. In Madrid, you will find theatre, musicals, and museums, but you will also discover streets full of history, where Lope de Vega and Cervantes found the inspiration for their works; “tapas” bars; and markets turned into gastropubs, where you can both shop and enjoy a quick bite. There is so much to see, and not enough time. Yet, you will soon realize that Madrid is also the city of traffic and heat (the average temperature in September is 32ºC).
